2020, Our Year for Cultivating Femme Friendships
& Tribe Sessions Announcement

Whew! It’s been a crazy month for us, so it’s been a hot minute since we’ve dropped a blog. I have been so excited to drop the first blog of 2020, but definitely had some writers block. This last week we’ve really buckled down on our long-term goals and setting a routine for ourselves which will help us accomplish those goals in the long run. I’ve been anxious to get to work and also get some sessions I’ve been sitting on on the blog!
This year, what we want to focus on as a business is cultivating Femme Friendships. It’s important to find your tribe, but sometimes hard and even scary to make new friends or revisit old friendships. We have a ton of group events we’re planning for this year, the first one going off with a smash! For the Galentine’s Day Marathon, we booked three shoots back-to-back and encouraged everyone to bring a friend. There were refreshments and snacks and it was so much fun! Each client ended up coming stag, but left with two new friends. Seeing them slowly become more comfortable with each other as the morning went on, and then finally when I had them all pose together was one of the most rewarding and empowering moments I’ve had in this business! Even Zeppelin got in on the action!
Seeing the energy these women brought into our home studio on that cold day was like the hottest shot of espresso and sugar a girl could ask for. It filled my freakin’ soul. It’s always a little awkward at first, but seeing each client slowly become more comfortable around each other was something I want to experience over and over again! This has made me realize creating a space where femme-identifying individuals to connect with other femme-identifying individuals is my biggest priority in the business.
I want to help each client step out of their comfort zone, but have support while they do it. I LIVE for seeing women hype women up, and that’s exactly what this marathon was. The support they showed each other on that day literally brought me to tears!
I also had a new artist assisting me that day, Laura Marie Artistry. I asked her to make the drive from Cedar Rapids because I needed someone who was not only a boss ass bitch like me, but knew the importance of what we do. Laura has even more experience with marathons than I do, since last year I mainly scheduled single sessions! I loved the fresh energy she brought with her and how each stroke of her brush she made sure the ladies knew what to expect, what to do, etc before she did it. I truly believe that while I do love a natural look (I RARELY wear makeup, I just don’t feel I need it most of the time!), the act of getting pampered and getting to feel like that extra version of yourself is half the experience. This is a chance to chat with us, unwind, snack and relax before getting in front of the camera!
Another thing that I am working on this year is continuing to build my client closet, so that I have something for every body type. Many of my sessions last year used items from the client closet and I’m excited to expand that so that it’s one less thing my clients worry about! Miss R tried on a variety of outfits, but this was the one. A black, lacy stretchy piece that fit her like a glove! I was constantly yelling “Giiiirl, dem titties!” Sorry not sorry y’all, that’s just the way I am! I’m so excited for the three other blogs I have coming soon from the Galentine’s Day Marathon!
Do you have a bestie who’s your ride or die bitch? Someone you know could use a confident boost? Are you afraid to book a session on your own?
Tribe sessions are a chance to step out of your comfort zone right next to your bestie! You can pay the full amount of the session and gift a session to a Femme Friend you adore or split it down the middle!
Tribe Sessions include hair and makeup for you and your bestie, individual boudoir sessions, as well as posing together! Included as well is a customizable photo block for each of you with a photo from your session. Afterwards, we'll meet for your in-person reveal to go through your image slideshow and look at print options for your images.
Prints, products or digitals are purchased separately at your reveal and my print pricing starts at $600. Collections (customizable bundles of prints at a discounted rate) begin at $950 for an album or heirloom box, ala carte item and keepsake USB. Corresponding web-sized digitals are included with any print orders placed, or they can be purchased on their own full sized and with a print release.
I only have 8 spots available for this offer, so once it’s sold out we’re done and the link will be taken down!
