I’m so excited to finally share my session with Miss B! My awesome hair and makeup stylist did such a spectacular job on her. I told her she was the only client of the day and to take her time and to go crazy with Miss B. We did a same-day image reveal and I got to see an old client of mine at that meeting! It was soooo much fun having Miss B’s friend there, cat-calling her at every image, and finally forcing herself to walk away as we were selecting which images we would be keeping for the prints.
There’s many times in this career I hear weight loss concerns/testimonies/etc. I see so many women concerned about their weight doing a session, or wanting to wait until they lose x amount of pounds before doing it. I always say, you are beautiful at EVERY stage in your journey, whatever journey you are on. You are beautiful today, and you will be in a year from now, whatever size you are. I always encourage my clients to do a session now, and session later to document their self-love journey! That’s exactly what Miss B did, and we’re positively thrilled she chose us for this vulnerable part of her journey.
I’ve known Miss B online and through mutual friends for a while now, and I was especially excited to give her the experience she needed and deserved. She has such a beautiful soul, and it shows in this set! Kasie and I had such a blast working with her, until I had to declare I took more photos than we could possibly need and called it a day.
Afterwords, I treated Kasie to lunch before doing Miss B’s same day image reveal. Our sweet (but very very NAWTY) puppy decided to treat himself to Kasie’s WHOLE Jimmy John’s sandwich and we had to go through the drive-thru again and tell them what our sweet naughty puppy did. They made us pay for it again in case anyone wondered, no matter how cute he looked at them!
Miss B selected my middle collection including a beautiful Rose Gold Signature Album and I’m so in love with the luminous cover!
“Last March I started a weight loss journey. I found as my journey progressed I was falling further into diet culture mentality, and I didn’t like it. Rather than waiting for the “end” of my journey to have photos taken as a sort of reward, I decided now would be a great time to celebrate my body, because my body deserves to be celebrated at ALL times.
Lexy and Kasie make you feel so comfortable, making the whole experience run so smoothly. I am an anxious person, and I felt so comfortable the whole time. I expected to feel nervous or uncomfortable but I didn’t. It was such a positive amazing experience, I truly felt so empowered the whole time. I am so glad I did this for myself.”
